''I think anybody who falls in love is a freak. It's a crazy thing to do.
It's kind of like a form of socially acceptable insanity."
It's kind of like a form of socially acceptable insanity."
- Amy (Her)
Sharing deep thoughts on a platform like this is risky, I have yet to master how much to reveal of my personal life. But my purpose has always been, from the very beginning, to inspire and I am sure there is enough insecure people out there to encourage this fortnight's article. For those who suffer from 'flight risk' when things get too serious with someone, where you become a risk of dropping everything and leaving with no explanation, I feel you. People easily lose themselves in emotionally vulnerable situations. I have never carried any insecurity in myself, but I have had for some time carried a deep insecurity in the whole idea of committing to another person because everything seems to fall apart so easily. To put your heart and soul into something so flaky is insanity but "it's like a socially acceptable form of insanity". Never in my life have I seen anything more fragile.
"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard". Winnie the Pooh tries to say that to miss someone is a positive feeling, well yes that is so if that person misses you too. How naive of you, yellow bear in the shrunken red top, to think it is beautiful to be stuck in a one-sided love. Jokes aside, relationships are fragile and knowing the brutal truth will make you feel safer, there is power in being capable of acknowledging that things don't always end with 'forever' and that it will be okay.
Despite One Direction singing about insecure girls like it's something boys find attractive, the truth is, it isn't. Modesty may be attractive but insecurity is not. If you are insecure about anything, whether that be yourself or anything else... it will be revealed upon close interactions with other people and it generates nothing but negative emotions: grief, anger, anxiety. Popular culture glamorises broken people who need saving, but in reality no one loves someone who is insecure. We are all slightly broken and to expect someone to come along and heal you is the worst expectation to ever be imposed on anyone. Pick up your own broken pieces and put yourself back together. No one owes you anything.
Ensure yourself with no doubts that your future, whatever it holds, and whoever it holds, is going to be a positive one. When you get too attached to people, you lose yourself in fear of losing them. You will become over-reactive and unreasonable, emotionally draining even. But in learning not to be afraid of losing people, you will bring back the original happy, carefree person that attracted those around you in the first place. Life is so much simpler when you lose the fear, you will open yourself to happier days. The key is to go with the flow, follow your own instincts, and do what your heart pleases. Let the memories that left you broken collect its dust, you are moving on to better days...

Stunning photos and beautiful words. You are so right. One-sided love is not a good thing mainly because it just unhealthy for the one suffering from it and neediness is not attractive. Everyone should be independent and be able to function completely on their own first and foremost - then you can introduce someone into you life who you want there but do not NEED there. There is a big difference between the two - once is a compulsion and the other is a choice.
