LACE AND LUST

"There is no passion to be found in settling for a life
that is less than the one you are capable
 of living" - Nelson Mandela

To feel so deeply and unquestionably passionate about something is a true blessing, because time spent doubting your passion is time better spent listening to that soft whistling wind beckoning you in its direction to construct your empire on that very sand. Indecisiveness is such a common condition that people suffer from, I do and I’m certain you do too; whether from fear of offending others or fear of regretting the decision. But doubt and indecisiveness is negative energy that holds us back from reaching our full potential. Sometimes we just need to be irrational and pursue something with constant, persistent and immense energy; in the very same way that the waves come crashing on the shore each time.

When you love something so deeply that even the ocean is jealous, there is no reason to let anything stop you. There is no reason anything can stop you. The mind gives up before our body does. Nothing can stop you except yourself: your inner doubts and fears. Find your passion, your true passion, and run towards it like the wind, never stopping and never slowing. Nothing good comes easy, these photos included.

The world constantly reminds us that nothing is as it appears: the location may appear composed and serene yet it was anything but. The wind was so terribly strong on the beach that day that it caused my camera to topple over and break, and my heart with it. The sand was also flying at rapid high-speeds, constantly cutting across my skin, and getting into my eyes and mouth. I was able to bear the pain and discomfort, but nothing else came easy. If having hair whipped in the face wasn't enough to be disgruntled about, the rose I had in my hand disintegrated within minutes. However, expecting nothing to go as planned is the perfect mindset to hold so that you push on and you succeed. Et voilà, these photos as evidence.
